Roger L. Hutton
Owner, Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
Roger L. Hutton is a dedicated funeral professional and the owner and manager of Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home, where he is committed to bringing honor, compassion, and healing to the families of Knox County. A lifelong resident, Roger was born and raised in Knox County by his parents, Roger and Maxine Hutton of Gray, Kentucky, giving him deep roots in the community he proudly serves.
He graduated from All Saints High School in 2002 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Eastern Kentucky University in 2007. In 2012, Roger felt called to serve families in a more meaningful way and began pursuing a career in funeral service. He attended Southeast Mortuary College, graduating in May 2014 with an Associate of Applied Science degree. Later that year, in December 2014, he became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
In August 2024, Roger assumed the pivotal role of owner and manager of Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home. In this position, he is dedicated to creating meaningful, personalized experiences for every family while establishing the funeral home as a trusted pillar of support within the community. His compassionate approach reflects his deep belief in honoring each life and guiding families through times of loss with care and respect.
Outside of his professional life, Roger enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Tiffani Wyatt Hutton, and their two children, Braxton and Mason. He also finds fulfillment in mowing, landscaping, and other outdoor activities that keep him connected to the community he calls home.
Through his commitment to service and community involvement, Roger continues to make a lasting and positive impact at Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home and throughout Knox County.

Vickie Lynn Abner
Manager, Licensed Funeral Director & Advanced Planning Director
Vickie Lynn Abner is a valued member of the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home team, known for her compassion, experience, and deep connection to the Knox County community. Born in Pineville and raised on Stinking Creek, Vickie is the daughter of Joe Mills, Jr. and Cathleen Mills and has spent her life serving the community she proudly calls home.
She graduated from Knox Central High School and continued her education at Eastern Kentucky University and KCTCS. Vickie joined Hampton Funeral Home in December 1997 as an office secretary under the leadership of Troy Hampton and Rondal Mills. Through her dedication and strong work ethic, she advanced into an apprenticeship, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of funeral service.
In June 2001, Vickie became a licensed funeral director, marking a significant milestone in her career and reinforcing her commitment to supporting families with care and compassion. She further expanded her ability to serve families by becoming a licensed insurance agent in July 2014, helping guide individuals through the pre-planning process with confidence and clarity.
Outside of her professional life, Vickie enjoys spending time with her husband, E.G. Abner, and their son, Jeremy. She also has a passion for attending local car shows, where she appreciates classic automobiles while enjoying time with family and friends.
With decades of experience and a genuine dedication to those she serves, Vickie continues to embody the values of compassion, trust, and service at Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home.

Doug Roberts
Owner, Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
Doug Roberts is a dedicated professional and valuable member of the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home team, bringing over two decades of experience in the funeral industry. Born and raised in Laurel County, Kentucky, Doug is the son of the late Ray D. Roberts and Vickie Keith Roberts. He graduated from Laurel County High School and pursued his passion for funeral service at Mid-America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
Since starting his career in 1994, Doug has been deeply involved in various facets of the funeral industry. He has served as a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1995, demonstrating his commitment to providing compassionate care and support to families in their times of need. In his role as a preneed specialist at Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home, Doug helps families plan ahead, ensuring peace of mind when it matters most.
Doug’s extensive knowledge and skills make him an asset to the residents of Knox County, as he is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and guidance throughout the funeral planning process. His heartfelt approach ensures that each family receives the personalized care they deserve.

Doug Roberts is a dedicated professional and valuable member of the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home team, bringing over two decades of experience in the funeral industry. Apprentice Funeral Director & Embalmer
Ryker Ty Jordan, a dedicated team member at Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home, was born in Pineville and raised in Barbourville, Kentucky. As the son of Casey and Misty Jordan, he exemplifies a strong commitment to family and community. Ryker graduated from Barbourville High School in 2024, where he established a foundation rooted in service and community engagement.
Currently pursuing his studies at Union Commonwealth University, Ryker is focused on a career in the funeral industry. His passion for serving others and desire to make a difference in people's lives drive his ambition in this field. Ryker values the importance of building meaningful connections with families during their most difficult times.
A lifelong resident of Barbourville, Ryker is actively involved in his community and is a proud member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys outdoor activities, landscaping, and cherishing moments with his family, further embodying his commitment to community and nature.

Jack Powell
In Loving Memory
Wilburn Jack Powell, age 78, of Bimble, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at his home. He was born on December 20, 1947, in Knox County, Kentucky, to the late Coleman Jack Powell and Mary (Payne) Powell.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie Powell, and his brother, Bobby Powell.
Jack believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church. He retired from Chrysler Corporation after thirty years of service before returning home to Kentucky. Over the years, he also served his community as a deputy sheriff in Knox County and was a dedicated employee of Hampton Funeral Home beginning in 1997. In addition, he was the former owner of a Chevron gas station in Barbourville.
Jack had a passion for attending car shows and rebuilding antique cars to add to his collection. He loved being around people, sharing stories, and enjoying a good laugh with friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Tiffany Pawlak and husband, Dr. Dustin J. Pawlak, and his grandchildren, Addison and Dalton Pawlak, all of Georgia; his companion, Melinda Hobbs of Bimble; her daughter, Tiffany Collins and husband, Cody, and their children, Harlee Collins and Raylyn Collins, all of Bryant Store. He is also survived by his Dairy Queen friends, his funeral home family, his very special friends, E.G. and Vickie Abner, and the many friends who visited and supported him during his illness.
Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
