Vida Elliott Obituary

Vida June (Osborne) Elliott, age 78, of Artemus, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.  She was the daughter of Garfield and Minnie (Jones) Osborne, born to them on August 4, 1941.  Vida was united in marriage to Charles Raymond Elliott on September 2, 1959, and to this union three children were born, Charles Rodney, Teresa and Lisa.  She was a member of Artemus Baptist Church, a loving wife, mother and homemaker, and enjoyed fishing, four wheeling and hunting arrowheads.

Vida was preceded in death by her parents Garfield and Minnie (Jones) Osborne, brother Douglas Osborne and sister Patsy Osborne.

She is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Charles Raymond Elliott, son Charles Rodney Elliott and wife Jessica, and daughters Teresa Bunch and husband Johnny, and Lisa Hammons and husband Larry, all of Artemus, Kentucky; six grandchildren Sydnee Elliott, Kristi Lawson and husband Larry, Johnny Bunch, Zach Bunch and wife Tyra, Jesicca Marsee and Rebecca Lake and husband Kevin, all of Artemus; Kentucky, eleven great grandchildren; brothers E.G. Osborne and wife Carol of Artemus, Kentucky, Benny Osborne and wife Carla of Bimble, Kentucky, Denver Osborne of Emmanuel Hollow, Kentucky; sisters Bobbie Combs and husband Benton of Barbourville, Kentucky, Drucilla Lockard and husband Lonnie of Artemus, Kentucky, Alma Osborne of Artemus, Kentucky, Maxine Thomas of Hamilton, Ohio; sisters-in-law Bernice Elliott of Artemus, Kentucky, and Betty Montgomery and husband Kenneth of Ewing, Virginia.  She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Vida June Elliott will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend James McDonald officiating.  Pallbearers will be Johnny Bunch, Zach Bunch, Ed Lawson, Charles Marsee, Larry Lawson and Brian Osborne.  Burial will follow in the Burch Alford Cemetery at Artemus, Kentucky.  Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends may call at Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Friday, September 13, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
