Una (Baker) Dempsey

      Mrs. Una Dempsey age 71 of Coalport, departed this life on Sunday, September 5, 2021 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. She was born on January 20, 1950 in Coalport, the daughter of Henry Baker and Lizzie (Collins) Baker. She was a loving mother and homemaker.  

      She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Dempsey, her parents, Henry and Lizzie Baker, two brothers, Everett Baker and John Henry Baker, five sisters, Betty Lee Baker, Mildred Farley, Marie Hughes, Susie Hamilton and Pauline Jackson, an infant brother, Henry Baker, Jr. and an infant sister.

      Left behind to mourn her passing, her daughter, Jaime Dempsey of Coalport, her dog Willie, and one sister, Joanne Stapleton all of Coalport. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

      The family would like to send special thanks to the staff, doctors and nurses at Baptist Health Hospital for the wonderful care Una was given.

      Funeral services for Una Dempsey will be conducted on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glenn Collins officiating. Cremation will follow the service.

      Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 3:00.
