Troy Vernon Golden

             Mr. Troy Vernon Golden age 73 of Trosper, KY departed this life on Sunday, September 30, 2018 in the Barbourville Hospital. He was born on August 4, 1945 in Knox Co. the son of Lloyd and Valie Mable (Collins) Golden. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Christopher Troy Golden one brother, Lloyd Roella Golden and two sisters, Glenna Faye Jennings and Pauline Green.

            Troy was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged. He loved all animals especially horses, farming, traveling and guns. He especially loved being with his family and grandchildren.

             He is survived by is loving wife, Gloria Golden, his two daughters, Natasha Valie Golden and fiance’ Jonathan Lake and Christina Samantha Lynn Golden, five grandchildren, Madalynn Gray, Elijah Lake, Adreanna McIntyre, Jonah Lake and Hunter Troy Hampton all of Trosper, five brothers, Willard Golden of Cincinnati, Denver Dale Golden of Trosper, Earnest Golden of Michigan, Randall Golden of Florida, Estil Golden of Barbourville and two sisters, Shirley Kirtley of Michigan and Tammy Houghton of Middlesboro.

          Funeral services for Mr. Troy Golden will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.mm. with Rev. Rick Partin officiating. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Lake, Josh Golden, Jimmy Davis, Jr. and Bill Kinchella. Honorary pallbearers will be George Hamilton, Jimmy Davis, Sr., Dale Golden, Brandon Golden and Willard Golden. He will be laid to rest in the Burch Alford Cemetery at Artemus. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

        The family will receive friends at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
