Sarah Elza Maiden

Sarah Elza Maiden, age 89, of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Corbin Health & Rehabilitation Center in Corbin, Kentucky.  She was the wife of Wesley Maiden, Jr. and daughter of Pitman and Mary (McNeil) Jackson, born to them on February 22, 1930.  She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, and loved quilting, and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Wesley Maiden, Jr., daughter Mary Catherine McClung, parents Pitman and Mary (McNeil) Jackson, brother Glendon Jackson and his wife Ochel Jackson, and brother Richard Jackson and wife Mary.

Left behind to mourn her passing are her son-in-law Neill McClung of Douglasville, Georgia, and nephew Shaun Jackson and wife Karen of Lexington, Kentucky and sister-in-law Dora Maiden.  She is also survived by many relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Sarah Elza Maiden will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Evans Cemetery at Poplar Creek, Kentucky.  Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
