Ruth (Barnes) Holland

          Mrs. Ruth Holland age 72 of Jarvis, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 in Miramar Beach, Florida. She was the widow of Jimmy Wayne Holland and the daughter of James and Ruby Barnes born to them on September 23, 1949 in Greenroad, Kentucky. Ruth was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. She had worked for many years in the cafeteria at Knox Central and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

      She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruby Barnes, her husband Jimmy Wayne Holland and four brothers, Oakley Barnes, Laymon Barnes, Eugene Barnes and Russell Barnes.

      Left behind to mourn her passing, her two sons, Wade Holland and wife Shelley of London, Kentucky and Kyle Holland and wife Donna of Jarvis, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Taylor Holland, Kolson Holland and Jaxson Holland, three brothers, Johnny Barnes, Kenneth Barnes and Charlie Barnes all of Girdler.  She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

       Funeral services for Mrs. Holland will be conducted on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Collett and Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. Pallbearers will be family & friends. She will be laid to rest in the Taylor Cemetery at Blackwater. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

      Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
