Nellie Jean (Baldwin) Perkins

      Mrs. Nellie Jean Perkins, age 70 of Cawood, Kentucky, departed this life on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was the widow of Robert Clarence Perkins and the daughter of Bill Jack Baldwin and Pauline (Clark) Baldwin, born to them on July 4, 1953 in Virginia. Nellie believed in the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and working puzzles.

      She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Clarence Perkins, her parents, Bill Jack and Pauline Baldwin and one sister, Cora Robbins.

      Left behind to mourn her passing, her two sons, Robert Perkins of Holmes Mill and George Perkins and wife Vanessa of Cawood, two sisters, Barbara Witt and husband Alton of Holmes Mill and Mary Helen Vanover and husband Mitchell of Alabama and one brother, Bill Baldwin and wife Cookie of Cumberland. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

      Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Perkins will be conducted in the Huff Settlement Baptist Church on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Chris Peace officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Holmes Mill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

       Friends will be received at the church on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 4:00 p.m.
