Melinda (Smith) Wright

      Mrs. Melinda Wright, age 76 of Artemus, departed this life on Friday, September 17, 2021 in the Barbourville Hospital. She was the of daughter of Wilburn and Thelma Henry Poole, born to them on October 30, 1944 in Trentlen County, Georgia

      She looked forward to sewing, gardening, and cooking fresh vegetables for her family and she loved spending time with her family.

      She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Thelma Herny Poole and a son, Kevin Wright.

      Left behind to mourn her passing, a son, Wayne Wright and wife Cordie of San Antonio, two daughters, Renay Smith and husband Micheal of Artemus  and Jade Buttery and husband Dustin of Middlesboro, Eleven grandchildren, Brennan Wright of Victoria,  Cody Wright and wife Jennifer, Hannah Wright, Amelia Wright and Terry Wayne Wright,  Jr., all of San Antonio, Texas, James Wright, Jr., Jesse Wright, Cassie Wright and Kadi Wright, all of Milledgiville, Georgia, Cayla Scott of Oakwood, Georgia and Mackena Sutherland of Middlesboro.  She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends. 

       Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.
