Lizzie Davis

           Mrs. Lizzie Clark Davis age 78 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020 in Rockcastle County, KY. She was the daughter of Clark Brown and Ellen Campbell Brown born to them on June 30, 1941 in Scalf, KY. Lizzie enjoyed life. She loved going to flea markets, making jewelry, sewing crocheting, gardening and fishing.

          She is preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Ellen Brown and her husband Charles Davis, one son Chris Edward Brock, one brother, Crystal Brown and three sisters, Cora Harkless, Rethea Payne and Ada Smallwood.

          Left behind to mourn her passing, one son, Jimmie Dean Brock of Bimble, three daughters, Ethel Andrea Hamilton and wife Vivienne Ashbourne-Hamilton of Barbourville, Ellen Pauline Brock Fisher and husband Vincent C. Fisher of Gray, KY and Gracie Lynn Dueker Ruether and husband Todd of Potosi, Missouri and one sister, Gracie Williams of Boone Height. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and three great grandchildren along with a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

          Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Davis will be conducted on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be family & friends. She will be laid to rest in the Hutchinson Cemetery at Bailey Switch. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the Knox-Whitley animal shelter in her memory.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00.
