Joyce Faye (Hopkins) Mills

            Mrs. Joyce Faye Hopkins Warren Mills, age 80 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at home with her loving family around her. She was the daughter of Lee Thomas and Nell Bowman Hopkins born to them on September 14, 1940 in Bell County, Kentucky. She was united in marriage with Leonard “LB” Warren (Deceased) on December 5, 1959 and Charles Mills (Deceased) on August 25, 1973. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church and loved taking care of her grandchildren.

         She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee Thomas and Nell Bowman Hopkins, husbands, Leonard “LB” Warren and Charles Mills, a very special daughter-in-law, Carolyn Sue Warren, three brothers, Henry Lee Hopkins, Hobert Hopkins and Jay Hopkins, six sisters, Imogene Mills, Agnes Taylor, Ruby Hammons, Edith Mills, Gladys Grubb and Christine Hopkins

          She is survived by, two sons, Leonard Dewayne Warren of Barbourville, Kentucky, Scotty J. Mills of Barbourville, Kentucky, two daughters, Beverly Abner and husband Johnny of Corbin and Penny R. Warren Brown and husband Preston L. Brown of Barbourville, Kentucky, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, including a very special Addison Mills, two sisters, Fern Collett Smith of Girdler and Dottie Mills of Indiana, and numerous, nieces, nephews and others.

          Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Mills will be conducted on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home with Rev. Lonnie Collett and Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Hopkins Family Cemetery at Stinking Creek. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons, Ivan Burnette, Evan Burnette, Bradley Warren, Johnathan Abner, Joey Abner and Taven Asher.

          Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m.

          Face covering will be required as well as social distancing guidelines of six feet apart will need to be followed during all our services. This is for the safety of our families, visitors’ and staff.
