Joanne (Taylor) Lewis

     Mrs. Joanne Lewis, age 44 of Flat Lick, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in the Highlands ARH in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She was the wife of Lonnie Chris Lewis and the daughter of Rufus Taylor and Joan (Young) Taylor born to them on October 1, 1976. Joanne, along with her husband was owner and operator of Lewis Recycling of Flat Lick. She enjoyed being with her family, reading her bible, taking care of her dogs, cars, feeding the birds, and watching Christmas movies on TV.

     She is preceded in death by her father Rufus Taylor and her husband Lonnie Christopher Lewis.

     Left behind to mourn her passing, her mother, Joan Taylor of Flat Lick, her three loving daughters, Candice Lewis of Fourmile, Krysta Albertson and husband Dakota of Zebulon, North Carolina and Payton Lewis of Flat Lick, one grandson, Kaladin Albertson of North Carolina, two brothers, Rufus Taylor, Jr. and wife Rebecca and Andrew Taylor and wife Tasha all of Pineville, three sisters, Frances Robbins and husband Bruce, Julie Jones and husband Jr. and Laura Wilder and fiance’ Glen Miller all of Pineville. She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

     Funeral services for Mrs. Joanne Lewis will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Custer Watts officiating. Pallbearers will be, Rufus J. Taylor, Andy Taylor, Noah Robbins, Bruce Robbins, Brandon Jones and Pete Wilder. She will be laid to rest in the Lewis Family Cemetery at Flat Lick. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

     Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
