James Michael Mills

      Mr. James Michael Mills age 46 of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, April 1, 2023 in Corbin. He was the son of Mitchell and Maggie (Smith) Mills born to them on March 26, 1977 in Knox County. He believed in the Holiness faith. He enjoyed working outside, watching wrestling and football on TV and liked trucks.

      He is preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Maggie Mills and one brother, Billy Ray Tate.

      Left behind to mourn his passing, one son, Derek Murphy of Corbin, one grandchild, Paisley Murphy, two brothers, Paul Tate and wife Joanna of Corbin and Ricky Mills and wife Donna of Lily, his wife, Melissa Murphy of Corbin. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends.

      Funeral services for Mr. James Michal Mills will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Eric Jordan and Rev. Jason Smith officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Corbin. Pallbearers will be Robert Chadwell, Dylan Dozier, Derek Murphy, Daniel Sullivan, Dustin Mills, and David Broughton. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

      Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
