Jacqueline (Woolum) Hampton

          Mrs. Jacqueline Hampton age 63 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, in the Barbourville Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born on June 29, 1954, in Knox County, Kentucky the daughter of Henry Carl Woolum and Mary Francis (Brown) Woolum. She united in marriage with Charles Edward Hampton, Sr. and to this union two children were born. She believed in the Baptist Faith and was a homemaker. She enjoyed her family, watching old TV shows, reading and doing crossword puzzles.  

          She is preceded in death by her husband Charles along with her parents and three brothers, Johnny, Jimmy and Wayne Woolum and four sisters, Ina Brown, Mary Ann Baker, Maggie Hensley, and Wanda Sue Woolum.

          Left behind to mourn her passing, her loving children, Charles Hampton  and Lora Hampton both of Barbourville, seven brothers, Michael Woolum of Barbourville, Don Woolum and wife Ann of Barbourville, Dale Woolum of Illinois, Alan Woolum and wife Thelma of Richmond, KY,, Teddy Woolum and wife Lovella of Hinkle, Charlie Woolum of Frankfort, and Henry Woolum of Marion, KY, four sisters, Charlotte Smith and husband  Finley of Road Fork, Peggy Stewart and Rosie Dalton both of Boone Height, Janet Woolum of Florida, four grandchildren, Timothy Atwood, and wife Ashley,  James Hampton, Heather Brown and husband Nathan and Hannah Hampton, three great-grandchildren, Raelynn Atwood, River Atwood and Grayson Atwood. Jacqueline also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

          Funeral services for Mrs. Hampton will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Brandon Dunn and Rev. Columbus Hensley officiating.  She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Hampton Cemetery at Swan Pond. Pallbearers will be, Charles Hampton, Jr., Timothy Atwood, Nathan Brown, Gilbert Woolum, Dewayne Woolum and Nathaniel Price. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

          Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
