Freddie Cole Obituary

 

      Mr. Freddie Cole age 82 of Dewitt, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. He was the son of Delmer and Rose (Garland) Cole born to them in Knox County on April 13, 1939.

      On October 26, 1958, he united in marriage with Adean Johnson and to this union two daughters were born. Freddie was a veteran of the United States Army. He had been a truck driver for G&M Oil Company and a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles and was especially proud of the one he had built and brought it to several of the local car shows. He also had enjoyed deer hunting and working on cars in his garage where you could find him often.

      During his stay in the hospital, Freddie professed his faith to his daughter Kay and assured her that he was saved. 

      Preceding him in death are his parents, Delmer and Rose Cole, a grandson, Brandon Michael Peace, one brother, Earl Cole and one sister, Ruby Lenore Cole.

      Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife of over sixty-three years, Adean Cole of Dewitt and his two daughters, Anna Lesa (Cole) Blakely of Scalf, and Narda Kay (Cole) Mills and husband Paul of Dewitt, a sister-in law, June Cole of Lenoir City, TN, six grandchildren, Jessica Hall and husband Jeremy of Science Hill, Stanton Kayne Peace of Williamsburg, Anna Rosella Peace of Manchester, Natasha Marcum and husband Dave, Kaylee Broughton and friend Josh and Sallie Broughton and friend John all of Dewitt, fifteen great grandchildren, Gabe Urgelles, Hadley Hall, Whittaker Hall, Alyssa Peace, Isabella Peace, Kayson Peace, Landon Peace, Branton Brown, Beckham Brown, Patrick Marcum, Noah Marcum, Freddie J. Marcum, Jenesis Broughton, Brayden Spencer and Riley Brown and two great grandchildren on the way, Wallace Hall and Royce Marcum. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

      Funeral services for Mr. Freddie Cole will be conducted on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Kennon Roark and Rev. Vernon Morris officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Freddie Cole Cemetery at Dewitt. Pallbearers will be, Norton Bright, Jeremy Hall, Riley Brown, Josh Spencer, John Ray Gray and Dave Marcum. Honorary pallbearers will be, Randy Smith, Paul Mills, Jerry Gambrel, Mike May, Buddy Brewer, Chuck Johnson, Leon Johnson, and all friends and neighbors. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

      Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:30.
