Eva Marie Edwards

           Mrs. Eva Edwards age 62 of Girdler, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, September 18, 2023 in the Continue Care Hospital in Corbin. She was born on June 4, 1961 and was the daughter of James Edwards and Hilda (Henson) Edwards. Eva believed in the Holiness faith and she enjoyed camping, fishing and working in her flowers.

          She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Hilda Edwards, four siblings, Jimmy Edwards, Eugene Edwards, Lee Etta Eversole and Steven Edwards and a step-grandson Benjamin Sparks.

          Left behind to mourn her passing, three children, Brenda Edwards and fiance’ Billy Deaton of Greenroad, Thomas Edwards and fiance’ Holly Hamilton of Girdler, Jessica Edwards of Greenroad and a step-son, Devin Sparks and fiance’ Emily, three grandchildren, Brandon Deaton and fiance’ Paige, Amanda Deaton and fiance’ Alex McQueen, Travis Deaton and fiance’ Jessica and a step grandson, Oliver Sparks, four great-grandchildren, Kassidy Deaton, Bryson Deaton, Tyson Deaton and Lakelin Deaton, five siblings, Larry Edwards of Indiana, Johnny Edwards and wife Brenda of Indiana, Loretta (Edwards) Browning of Somerset, Patricia Rice and husband Phillip of Barbourville and Jerry Edwards and wife Mariah of Barbourville.

          Funeral services for Mrs. Eva Marie Edwards will be conducted on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Rice officiating. The pallbearers will be, Thomas Edwards, Brandon Deaton, Travis Deaton, Alex McQueen, Christopher Rice and Jonathan Rice. She will be laid to rest in the Deaton Family Cemetery in Girdler. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

       Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:30 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00.
