Dwight Warren

Mr. Dwight D. ‘Rooster’ Warren, age 61, of Flat Lick, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the son of Johnny and Callie (Combs) Warren, born to them on November 6, 1956 in Sampson Hill, Kentucky.  Dwight was married to Carolyn Mills, and to this union three children were born, Chrissy, Angie and Jason.  He was a member of the Salt Gum Baptist Church and was a truck driver for a logging company.

He is preceded in death by his father Johnny Warren, son Jason Warren, brothers Shirley Warren, Buster Warren, Ernie Warren, and Buell Warren.

Left behind to mourn his passing are his beloved mother, Callie Warren, daughters Chrissy Mills and husband Bucky of Flat Lick, Kentucky, Angie May and husband Steve of Barbourville, Kentucky, son Austin Martin of London, Kentucky, daughters Hannah Warren of Flat Lick, Kentucky, and Cindy Warren of Flat Lick, Kentucky, grandchildren Haley Mills, Jasper Mills and Chloe Beth May, brothers John Warren, Jr. and wife Rita of Corbin, Kentucky, Clarence Warren and wife Patsy of Gray, Kentucky, and Flem D. Warren of Bimble, Kentucky, sisters Rosie Cole of Flat Lick, Kentucky, Nannie Jean Dean of Barbourville, Kentucky and Maggie Mills of Flat Lick,  Kentucky.  He also leaves behind a host of many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Dwight D. Warren will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Kennon Roark, Reverend Jerry Smith and Reverend Ken Merida officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Warren Cemetery in Flat Lick, Kentucky. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
