Dora Maiden Obituary
Mrs. Dora Barbara Maiden, age 79 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 in the Continue Care Hospital in Corbin. She was the widow of Silas Maiden and the daughter of Edward Paul Mosley and Hattie Wynn Mosley. She was born in Knox County on July 12, 1942. Dora was a member of the River Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband Silas Maiden, her parents, Edward and Hattie Mosley, one son, Gilbert Maiden, two sisters, Hazel Bargo and Jean Parker and one infant brother.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Carnes and husband Terry of Corbin, four grandchildren, Jonathan , Christopher and Daniel Carnes and Jeffrey and wife Ashely Carnes, one great grandchild, one sister, Ruby Ella Parker of Bull Run and many other nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Dora Maiden will be conducted on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Lonnie Messer officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. She will be laid to rest in the Evans Cemetery at Mackey Bend. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
