Cora (Longsworth) Johnson

     Cora Johnson age 66 of Bimble, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, January 10, 2022 in St. Joe’s East Hospital in Lexington. She was the wife of Finley Johnson and the daughter of Jimmy and Mary (Mills) Longsworth. born to them on April 6, 1955 in Knox County, Kentucky.

      She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Betty Jordan.

      Survivors include, her husband Finley Johnson of Bimble, two sons, George Johnson and wife Penny of Gray, Kentucky and Finley Johnson, Jr. of Indiana, three grandchildren, Kayla Smith and husband Jason of Girdler, Corey Johnson and wife Bethany of North Carolina and Precious Johnson of Corbin, two great grandchildren, Bryson Johnson of Gray and Hunter Smith of Girdler, two sisters, Virgie Gray and husband Eugene of Flat Lick, Carolyn Brown and husband Jerry of Girdler, four brothers, Virgil Longsworth , Roy Longsworth and Junior Longsworth and wife Sandy all of Bimble and Perry Longsworth and wife Pat of Girdler. She also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

      Funeral services for Cora Johnson will be conducted on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 12:00 non with Rev. Roy Eversole and Rev. Charles Eversole officiating. Pallbearers will be, family and friends. She will be laid to rest in the Eversole and Mills Cemetery at Girdler, KY. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

      Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 noon.
