Barbara Cox

Barbara Jean Cox age 65 departed this life on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at her home in Cannon, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Ancil Myrick and Roxie Jean Smith born to them on October 13, 1952.  She was a member of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband Larry Cox, parents Ancil Myrick and Roxie Jean Smith, brothers John David Myrick, Terry Dewayne Myrick, sisters Martha Kay Gray and Debbie Sue Mills.

Left behind to mourn her passing are daughter Tammy Johnson and husband Leon, son Larry C. Cox and wife Vanessa, grandsons Andrew Cox, Adam Cox, Larry Cox, Jr., Timmy Cox, granddaughter Lacey Cox, great granddaughters Abigail Alyssa Johnson and Melanie Cox, brothers Jerry Paul Myrick and wife Kathy, Darrell Myrick, Ancil Myrick, Jr. of Gray, Kentucky, Michael Gail Myrick and wife Sophia of Gray, Kentucky, Kim Allen Myrick and wife Rhonda of Calhoun, Georgia, Curtis Earl Myrick and wife Vivian of Gray, Kentucky, sister-in-law Wanda Johnson and husband Kelly of Flat Lick, brothers-in-law Jerry Cox, Michael Cox and Charles Cox all of Flatlick, Kentucky and special friends Natasha Broughton of Flat Lick, Kentucky and Sallie Broughton.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

 Funeral services for Barbara Jean Cox will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend A. Y. Mills officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Hammons Cemetery at Flat Lick. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
