Amalia Carnes Obituary

          Mrs. Amalia Toledo Carnes, age 80 of Dewitt, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Barbourville ARH. She was the daughter Marcial and Esperanza (Avalos) Toledo born to them on May 17, 1940 in Colima, Mexico. She was united in marriage with James Carnes and to this union three sons and one daughter were born. Amaila was a member of Young Grove Church and loved fishing and her cat, Oreo.

         She is preceded in death by her parents, Marcial and Esperanza (Avalos) Toledo and a sister, Gwille Florence.

          She is survived by her loving husband, James Carnes, three sons,  Michael Carnes of San Diego, California, Johnny Carnes and wife Gwen of Corbin, Kentucky, Ellis Carnes and wife Teresa of Barbourville, and John Kennedy, who was like a son, and his wife Amy of Little Richland Creek, Kentucky, a daughter Dorothy Dickenson of San Diego, California, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three brothers, Alfonso Toledo of Los Angeles, Leonard Toledo of Esperanto, Mexico and Tony Toledo of Anchorage, Alaska, four sisters, Marie Raiz of Bakersfield, California, Francis Kennedy of Long Beach, California, Magdalena Toledo of Las Vegas, Nevada.

          All services are private. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
