Mr. Virgil Lee Beverly, age 65 of Barbourville, departed this life on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 29, 1960, in Pineville, Kentucky, the son of James and Dorothy (Gambrel) Beverly. He united in marriage with Linda (Grubb) Beverly and to this union two sons were born. He had been a construction foreman with ATS Construction before retiring. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also liked to hunt, go to Nascar races and was a UK fan.

Preceding him in death, his father, James Beverly, father and mother-in-law, Whitley and Lillie Grubb, three brothers-in-law, Oscar Grubb, Ova Grubb and Otis Grubb; two sisters-in-law, Deloris Felts and Dessie Stewart; his grandparents, Virgil and Nancy Gambrel and grandparents, Richard and Kelly Beverly; and great-grandparents, Eli and Sally Gambrel.

Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife of forty-seven ½ years, Linda Beverly, two sons, Jason Beverly and wife Debra of Barbourville, James (Jamie) Beverly and wife Aleshia of Himyar, one grand-daughter, Kamryn of Barbourville and one grandson, Elijah Beverly of Himyar, his mother, Dorothy Beverly of Barbourville, three sisters, Glenna Hampton (Charles) of Barbourville, Melissa Whitfield (Randy) of Park City, Kentucky, Pamela Brown (Ricky) of Flat Lick, one sister-in-law, Doris Miles of Chicago, Illinois, five brothers-in-laws, Doyle Grubb (Holly)-whom he loved as a brother, Danny Grubb (Denise), Shirley Grubb (Peggy), Arthur Grubb, Arnold Grubb, and a host of nieces nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Beverly will be conducted on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Kennon Roark, Rev. Mike Helton, Rev. Gary King officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Hammons Cemetery at Flat Lick, Kentucky. Pallbearers will be Ryan Roberts, James Gray, Cody Whitfield, Michael Kunkel, Jeffrey Grubb and Tyler Gray. Honorary pallbearers are, Mike Corey, Axie Corey, Dr. Thomas Ashburn, Virgil Paynter, Dr. White, Nurse Hannah and Baptist Health Oncology Dept., all members of Springfield Baptist Church, Employees of ATS Construction, Dr. Dick and the Oncology Radiation Dept, Dr. Larkin and Nurse Meg at Baptist Health Lexington, Heather and Hospice of the Bluegrass. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
