Patricia Osten Hampton

Patricia Osten Hampton, 93, of Versailles, passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughter and friends on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Saint Joseph Hospital. Pat was born on October 18, 1931, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late Charles Edward and Shirla Webb Osten. She was predeceased by her husband William Logan Hampton in 2016. She was a graduate of Morehead State University and the University of Kentucky. She was a retired teacher and guidance counselor with Fayette County Schools who enjoyed traveling with friends and family. Following her retirement in 1983, Pat started an antique business with her good friend Katie Sullivan, did long-term substitute teaching for Fayette County Schools, and provided live-in care for her mother during the last year of her life.

Pat is survived by her daughter Jane Hampton Herrick (Jim) and her grandchildren Charlie and Margaret of Versailles. A visitation is planned from 12:00 – 2:00 pm Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road in Lexington, Kentucky. The burial will be private and at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Pat’s memory to the Kentucky Bar Foundation, 514 West Main Street, Frankfort, KY 40601.
