Obituary

Mrs. Monnie Edith Grant, age 100, of Corbin, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in the Christian Care Community in Corbin. She was born on December 29, 1925 the daughter of Delis Foley and Nancy (Engle) Foley. On February 1, 1946, she united in marriage with Stanley Grant. He preceded her in death in February 2001. Monnie was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing Bingo and family gatherings. She loved her family first and foremost especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Delis and Nancy Foley, her husband Stanley Grant, a son, Earl Foley, a daughter, Joann Steinman, two grandchildren, Scott Bull and William Dean Grant, a brother, Joseph Foley, and seven sisters, Zora Belle Foley, Lorene Wells, Goldie Wells, Jackie Wilkesmore, Vivian Taylor Ruby Napier and Violet Bolschow.

Left behind to mourn her passing, two daughters, William Irene Bull and husband Bruce of New York and Carolyn Miracle and husband Hobert “Bo” Miracle, Jr. of Woodbine, three brothers, James Foley and wife Erma of New York, Mac Arthur Foley of Woodbine and Harold Foley and wife Betty of Frankfort, Kentucky, two sisters, Truia Sawyer of North Carolina and Glenda Taylor of New York, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grant will be conducted in the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Bo Miracle officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Grant Cemetery in Little Indian Creek. Pallbearers will be, Matthew Miracle, Gavin Miracle, Kedrin Hubbard, Bruce Bull, Sr., Bruce Bull, Jr. and Joseph Bull. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00.
