Michael Hayes Buchanan

Mr. Michael Hayes Buchanan, age 44 of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Thursday, October 23, 2025 in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington. He was the son of Harold Baker and Florence Buchanan and was born on April 5, 1981. Michael graduated from Knox Central High School. He loved to play video games, read a good book and loved a good joke. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Harold Baker and Florence Buchanan, his grandparents, Lee Rose and Mary Jane Buchanan and one brother, Tommy Buchanan.

Left behind to mourn his passing, many cousins, his aunts, Faye Buchanan, Virginia Robinson,  Betsy Tuttle and Charlene Buchanan. He is also survived by many friends and other relatives. 

Funeral services for Mr. Michael Buchanan will be held in the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James McDonald officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Buchanan Cemetery in Rockholds. Pallbearers will be family & friends. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. 

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday prior to the service at 1:00.
