Lila Margaret Barnes

Lila Margaret Barnes, age 78 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, November 10, 2025 in the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin. She was the daughter of Delora (Hollin) Mills born on October 21, 1947 in Knox County. She is preceded in death by her mother, Delora Mills and five siblings, Dessie Snyder, Margaret Barnes, Allen Pickard, Laura Faye Pickard and Georgia Mills.
Left behind to mourn her passing, her loving daughter, Stephanie Dixon and grandson, Michael Woolwine both of Girdler, three brothers, Lester Jackson of Elkhart, Indiana, Earnest Mills of Florida and Jessie Smallwood of Covington, special friends, Judy Priest and Ina Gray. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Lila enjoyed bowling and reading and she had a green thumb and could make anything grow. She also loved spending time with her family and her good friend Ina.
A memorial service for Lila will be announced later.
