Mr. Larry Archie Buttery, Jr., better know as Sparky, departed this life on Wednesday evening, May 7, 2025 in the St. Joseph Hospital in London. He was born on February 4, 1970, in Pineville, Kentucky and was the son of Larry Archie Buttery and Caroline (Henson) Buttery.
Larry had been a truck driver for most of his life and most recently worked for Victory Transportation.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Cecil and Evelyn Buttery, his maternal grandparents, Lizzie Mills and Daw Henson, his previous wife Robin Moran and a special aunt who helped raise him, Eva Hammons.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his parents, Larry Archie Buttery and Caroline Buttery, a brother, Calvin Buttery, a sister, Tina Hinkle all of Artemus, a niece Leslie Hinkle, nephews, Elijah Hinkle, James Hinkle and Gavin Smith and aunts and uncles, Pam Buttery and Lloyd and Sue Buttery of Barbourville. He also leaves behind many cousins and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Larry will be conducted in the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jimmie Mills officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Buttery Family Cemetery in Artemus. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
