Mr. John Henry Bays age 75 of Jarvis, KY passed away on Tuesday Morning at the Knox County Hospital. He was the son of Lloyd & Ceiona (Price) Bays born to them February 19th, 1932 in Bell County. Mr. Bays believed in the Baptist faith, and had been a coal miner and a sawmill worker for E.K. Woods. Mr. Bays like to hunt, ginseng, and fish. He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd & CeionaBays, one son Willie Woodrow Bays, and two sisters Jane Smallwood & Geneva Mills.
Mr. Bays believed in the Baptist faith, and had been a coal miner and a sawmill worker for E.K. Woods. Mr. Bays like to hunt, ginseng, and fish. He is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd & CeionaBays, one son Willie Woodrow Bays, and two sisters Jane Smallwood & Geneva Mills. Survivors include two sons Marvin Bays & Geraldine of Bimble, KY and Randall Bays & wife Cindy of Jarvis, KY, one daughter Bonnie Lou Fuson Warren of Dewitt, KY, four brothers C.A. Price of Middlesboro, KY, Charlie Bays & wife of Artemus, KY, Tom Price of Chicago, Illinois & Russell Bays of Gray, KY. fifteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Mr. Bays also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Funeral services for Mr. Bays will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Friday – November 14th, 2008 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Glenn Collins officiating. Pallbearers will be Family & Friends. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the Hampton Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at noon.
