Eunice Bargo

Eunice Bargo, age 74 of Girdler, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, October 6, 2025 at her home. She was born on September 4, 1951 and was the daughter of Dan and Eva (Bingham) Wheat.

She was a member of the Southeast Baptist Church. She enjoyed nature and loved taking walks, collecting rocks, gardening and reading her Bible.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Eva Wheat, a son, Johnathan Lee Daniel Bargo, an infant brother, her husband Charles Bargo, brothers, Eddie Wheat and Leonard Wheat and a sister, Minnie Smith.

Left behind to mourn her passing, her daughter, Celeste Shannon Hood of Girdler, two grandsons, Justin Hood of Girdler and Matthew Hood and wife Brittany of Pineville, three grandchildren, Hadley Hood, Maelynn Hood and Harley Hood, two brothers, Larry Wheat and wife Nellie and Orangie Wheat and wife Donna, a sister, Martha Bunch all of Barbourville and her little dog, Kinzi. She also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

The family would like to send special thanks to the staff of Knox County Home Health and Palliative Care of Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bargo will be conducted in the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Leslie Broughton officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
