Ellie Mae Helton

Mrs. Ellie Mae Helton, age 83 of Louisville, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, December 20, 2025 in the Norton  Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. She was born on March 10, 1942 in Barbourville, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Charlie Payne and Rebecca (Brown) Payne. 

Mrs. Helton was a member of the Radiant Life Church of God and a member of the Red Hat Society. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Helton, her parents, Charlie and Rebecca Payne, a son, Terry James Myrick and a sister, Maxine Payne Myrick. 

Left behind to mourn her passing, her daughters, Sherry Perry and husband Mike of Barbourville, and Melissa Hoffman and husband Bob of Tucson, Arizona, step-daughters, Kimberly Salthill and Sarah, one sister, Juanita Bailey and husband Arvil of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, grandchildren, James Ray Foley and wife Missy, Christopher Perry and wife Mary Ann, Dana Barger and Gabrielle Hoffman, great grandchildren, Nicholas Michael Perry, Sophie Olivia Perry, Miles Colton Saltkill, Makayla Saltkill, Macie Saltkill, Samantha Saltkill and Sydney Corbin Saltkill. She also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends. 

Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Helton are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home.
