Mr. E.G. Patterson age 74 of Hinkle, KY the husband of Patsy (Hawn) Patterson passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2008. He was the son of the late Fred and China Mills Patterson born to them on December 12, 1934 in Knox County. Mr. Patterson was a member of the Beech Springs Holiness Church; he was a member of the National Guard for 11 years, was a retired self-employeed Truck driver and enjoyed trading and mechanic work.
He is survived by his wife Patsy Hawn Patterson, Hinkle, Kentucky, six sons, Mike Patterson and wife, Wilma, Barbourville, Kentucky,; Larry Patterson and wifeEvelyn, Bimble, Kentucky,; Loua Patterson, Barbourville, Kentucky,; Scott Patterson and wife, Melinda, Grays Kentucky,; Steve Patterson, Hinkle, Kentucky,; Jeffery Patterson and wife Kim, Barbourville, Kentucky ,;one sister, Rosa Lee Patterson,; one brother, Johnny Sie Patterson, both of Hinkle Kentucky,; Nine grandchildren and four great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three Bothers, Fred Patterson Jr. , James Holbert and Doyle Patterson. Funeral Services will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Chapel on Saturday January 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Denvil Taylor officiating. Pallbearers will be Roman Grubb,Justin Owens, Jonathan Patterson, Daniel Patterson, Kyle Patterson and Scott Williamson. Honorary Pallbearers will be all Fiends and Neighbors. Interment will be in the Hawn Cemetery at Bumble, Kentucky Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
