Douglas Partin

Mr. Douglas Keith Partin age 54, of Girdler, KY passed away on Friday – March 6, 2009 at the Hazard ARH Hospital. He was the son of the late Rev. John & Alma (Merida) Partin, born to them on July 11th, 1954.
Mr. Partin was a member of the Artemus First Baptist Church and was an employee of the TECO COAL COMPANY where he was an equipment operator. He enjoyed reading, knives & guns, woodwork, and carpenter work.
Survivors include: his girlfriend Tammy Walker of Walker, KY, his ex-wife Theresa Harris of Artemus, KY, one son Douglas Keith Partin II & wife Stephanie of Barbourville, KY, one daughter Lori Jones & husband William Tal of Corbin, KY, three brothers Rev. Mark Anthony Partin & wife Pam of Artemus, KY, John Stephen Partin & wife Michelle of Barbourville, KY, Rev. Ricky Darrell Partin & wife Sherry of Boone Heights, KY, five sisters Cathy Ann Landrum of Artemus, KY, Debra Jean Adkins & husband Eulis of Artemus, KY, Zella Kay Ledford of Artemus, KY, Judy Lynn Bowling & husband Ron of Artemus, KY, and Pamela Gail Clines & husband Danny of North Middletown, KY, two grandchildren William Hunter Jones, and Lauren Page Partin. Mr. Partin also leaves behind a host of nephews & nieces, aunts & uncles and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Doug Partin will be conducted on Monday, March 9th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Artemus First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Patterson & Rev. Vernon Morris officiating. Pallbearers will be Nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be employees of TECO COAL COMPANY. Mr. Partin will be laid to rest in the Stewart – Abner- Partin Cemetery at Artemus. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 6-9 p.m. and at the Artemus First Baptist Church on Monday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 2:0O p.m.
