Beulah Merida

Mrs. Beulah Merida age 87 of Hammond, KY, the widow of Lester Merida passed away on Tuesday morning, January 12, 2010 in the Knox Co. Hospital. She was born on March 22, 1922 the daughter of Harlan and Axie (Williamson) Cole. Beulah was a member of the Cole’s Branch Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lester Merida, her parents, Harlan and Axie Cole, two brothers, Clifford Cole and Jim Cole, two infant brothers, Kenneth Cole and Harlan Cole, Jr., two sisters, Sally Mills and Cathleen Mills and two sisters in law Alma Partin and Ora Merida.
Left behind to mourn her passing is one sister, Wanda Field and husband Bob of Batavia, Ohio, five brothers, Everett Cole and wife Helen of Westchester, Ohio, Harold Cole and wife Francis of Goshen, Ohio, Raymond Cole and wife Joann of Bowling Green, KY, David Cole of Westchester, Ohio and Curtis Cole and wife Wanda of Paris, KY. , sisters in law, Lela Carmack and husband Earl of Bimble, KY, Myrtle Cole of Hammond, KY and Ruth Cole of Fairfield, Ohio, brothers in law, Lester Mills of Scalf, KY and Joe Mills, Jr. of Hammond, KY. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah Merida will be conducted on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Partin, Rev. Jerry Smith and Rev. Charles Carnes officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews. Burial will follow in the Cole’s Branch Cemetery at Hammond. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening at the Hampton Funeral Home from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:30 a.m.
