Mr. Amos “Pete” Mills age 70 of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 in the UK Medical Center in Lexington. He was born on December 10, 1954, the son of Lloyd”Joe” Mills and Susie Mills.
Amos was a hard worker and he loved being with his family and his two dogs, Brookie and Redbone.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd “Joe” and Susie Mills, a daughter, Jennifer Sky Murphy, a granddaughter, Whitney Kendall Bingham and a brother, Gillis Smith.
Left behind to mourn his passing, one son, Amos Mills and wife Angela of Corbin, two daughters, Melissia “Missy” Jordan and friend Wayne Dozier and Mickey June Bingham and husband Wilbert of Scalf, grandchildren, Kimberly Brown and husband Chris, Amberly Jordan, Caitlyn Gibson and husband Nicholas, Justin Bingham, Logan Mills, Porter Mills, Charity Helton, James Helton and Keyley Mills, great grandchildren, Paisley Brown, Kinsley Brown, Emmalee Brown, Gracelyn Brown and Trace Jordan, ex-wife Maggie Mills of Flat Lick, a sister, Wittie Swafford of Scalf, an aunt, Betty Sue Mills of Corbin, four nieces, Patricia Mills, Angela Bargo, Sandy Smith and Betty Jackson. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Amos Mills will be conducted in the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest in the Manning Cemetery on Road Fork. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m.
