Wanda Sue Stamper

Ms. Wanda Sue Stamper, age 61, departed this life on Friday, September 14, 2018 at her home in Trosper, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Roscoe and Shirley (Carnes) Hammons, born to them on October 26, 1956 in Dewitt, Kentucky. Wanda believed in the Baptist faith and was a nurse. She loved reading and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents Roscoe and Shirley, beloved Aunt Maudie and best friend Bonnie Sue Mills.

Left behind to mourn her passing are her daughter Jamie Nicole Stamper-Abner of Lexington, Kentucky, special daughter-in-law Rachel Devora Stamper-Abner of Lexington, Kentucky, sons Rex Jason Stamper of London, Kentucky and Aaron Tyler Stamper of Trosper, Kentucky, her dear friend and former spouse Rex Stamper, grandchildren Emilee Denise Stamper, Morgan Page Stamper and Aiden Rex Stamper, special sister-in-law Robin of Piqua, Ohio, four brothers and two sisters.  She also leaves behind a host of many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Ms. Wanda Sue Stamper will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Roy Michael Stamper officiating. Pallbearers will be Russell Stamper, Niq Fields, Rachel Abner-Stamper, Waylan Smith, Michael Potter, Bryson Sellers and Lisa Abner-Smith.  Honorary Pallbearers will be William Stamper and Harold Baker.  She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
