Valmarie Sizemore

Mrs. Valmarie Sizemore, age 76, of Gray, Kentucky, departed this life on Thursday, June 6, 2019 in the Barbourville ARH Hospital.  She was the daughter of Charlie and Laura North, born to them on February 3, 1943 in Knox County, Kentucky.  Valmarie married Virgil Sizemore and to this union four children were born.  She was a member of Hornbranch Baptist Church at Hammons Fork in Woolum, Kentucky.  Valmarie was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, canning, singing and playing her guitar, and talking to people about the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Virgil Sizemore, parents Charlie and Laura North, and brothers John North and his wife Lizzie, Elmer North, Cecil North, sisters Litha Brock and Louise.

Left behind to mourn her passing are son Virgil Sizemore, Jr. of Barbourville, Kentucky, daughters Diane Mills and husband Otis of Gray, Kentucky, Shirley Grubb and husband J.C. of Gray, Kentucky and Imogene Logan and husband Donnie of Bimble, Kentucky, grandchildren Virgil Sizemore, III, Nathan Sizemore, Mason Sizemore, Tyler McWilliams, Amanda Gray and husband Randy, Vernon Grubb, Katherine Grubb and Natasha Collettte Gray, great grandchildren Hailey Gray, Chloe Gray, Makenzie Grubb and Callium Grubb, brother Donald North of Florida, sisters Edith and Geneva of Ohio, sister-in-law Doris North of Kansas, and brother-in-law Bob Brock of Mills, Kentucky.  She is also survived by many beloved relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Staff and Barbourville ARH Hospital Staff.

Funeral services for Mrs. Valmarie Sizemore will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home, with Reverend Tommy Frazier officiating.  Pallbearers will be Virgil Sizemore, Jr., Virgil Sizemore, III, Vernon Grubb, Randy Grubb, Ricky North and Roger North.  Burial will follow in Polly Warren Cemetery in Stinking Creek, Kentucky.  Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
