Mr. Sherman Jordan age 65 of Cannon, KY departed this life on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Barbourville Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy (Jewell) Jordan and the son of Lark and Alma Jean (Baker) Jordan. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 20, 1954. He had worked at Tremco and enjoyed fishing, camping and talking to his friends but he especially loved his grandchildren and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lark and Alma Jean Jordan and one brother, Canie Jordan.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his devoted wife Dorothy of Cannon, his beloved children, son, Sherman Jordan, Jr. and wife Tammy of Cannon and daughter, Angela Bays and husband Michael of Bailey Switch, one sister, Patsy Davidson of Danville, KY, five wonderful grandchildren, Teah, Tara and Trevor Jordan, Michael Bays, II and Michaela Bays, one niece Tina Jordan and one nephew, Canie Jordan, Jr. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Mr. Sherman Jordan will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Ricky Broughton officiating. Pallbearers will be, Sherman Jordan, Jr., Michael Bays, Michael Bays, II, Bill Bargo, Dalton Simpson, Trevor Jordan, Ernest Baker, Paul Bays and John Bays. He will be laid to rest in the Jordan-Bays family cemetery at Cannon. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
