Scott Simpson

Mr. Scott Simpson, age 49, departed this life on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.  He was the son of Kevin Harold Simpson and the late Brenda Hubbs Hensley, born to them on January 20, 1970 in Ohio.  He was a member of the Baptist faith, and a coal miner and enjoyed sports, race cars and baseball.

He was preceded in death by his mother Brenda Hubbs Hensley.

Left behind to mourn his passing are his father Kevin Harold Simpson of Ewing, Virginia, sons Alex Simpson of Pineville, Kentucky, Zachary Simpson of Slemp, Kentucky, Leland White of Woodbine, Kentucky, daughters Morgan Simpson and Megan Simpson of Barbourville, Kentucky, grandchildren Karson, Noelle, Sawyer and Charlie, ex-wife Tina Simpson of Pineville, Kentucky, brothers Keith Simpson of Hazard, Kentucky, Matt Simpson of Pineville, Kentucky, and sister Kayla Simpson of Pineville, Kentucky.  He also leaves behind many relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Scott Simpson will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel.  Reverend Ronnie Rose and Reverend Scott Phipps will officiate.  Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 4:00 p.m.
