Richard Alan Jones

Mr. Richard Jones, age 53 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was the husband of Marie (Wagner) Jones and the son of Walter and Flora Mae (Newman) Jones. He was born on August 2, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois.  Richard was a truck driver and a member of God’s Temple Church.  He enjoyed his church and spending time with family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Flora Mae Jones, father-in-law Bill Wagner, brother Robert Jones and sister-in-law Dolly Rebecca Miller.

Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife Marie Jones of Barbourville, son Richard Colton Thomas and wife Sandra of Barbourville, Kentucky, daughter Tiffany Jordan and husband Anthony of Cannon, Kentucky, grandchildren Mahayla Jordan and Josiah Jordan, mother-in-law Judy Gibson of Barbourville, Kentucky, brothers Ronnie Jones and wife Jennifer of Bakersfield, California, sister Tammy Bowersock of Barbourville, Kentucky, sisters-in-law Alisa Jones of Lily, Kentucky, and Wilma Garrison and husband Billy of Woolum, Kentucky.  He also leaves behind a many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Richard Alan Jones will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Ray Dean and Reverend Craig (Pete) Clark officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.  He will be laid to rest in the Bingham Cemetery at Walker, Kentucky. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 3:00 p.m.
