Margaret Hibbard

          Mrs. Margaret Hibbard, age 89 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Wednesday, Feb 14, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. She was the widow of Rev. Lloyd Hibbard who preceded her in death in 1999. She was born on May 16, 1928 in Wellsville, Ohio and was the daughter of Joseph Elden Hampton and Oma (Johnson) Hampton. Mrs. Hibbard was a member of the Trosper Church of God and was a homemaker. She loved to quilt and crochet but especially loved her flowers and being with her grandchildren.

          She is preceded in death by her husband Rev. Lloyd Hibbard, her parents, Joseph Elden Hampton and Oma Hampton, one son Lloyd Edward Hibbard two daughters Margarette Terry and infant Linda Ellen Hibbard, four brothers, George and Randal Hampton and two infants Joseph Elden Hampton, Jr. and Harrison Hampton, two sisters, Lily Gray and Lillian Taylor Mays.

         Left behind to mourn her passing, her loving children, her daughter, Brennetta Gail Frazier and three sons, Jimmy Hibbard and wife Mona, Danny Hibbard and wife Barbara and Darryal Hibbard and wife Mary all of Barbourville, one sister, Anna Mae Bays and husband Calvin of Cincinnati, Ohio, nineteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren and thirteen Great-great-grandchildren, her daughter-in-law, Kathy Hibbard and son-in-law Kennard Terry, a brother-in-law, Ken Hibbard and wife Bonnie of Batavia, Ohio, two sisters-in-law, Opal Hibbard of Cincinnati, Ohio and Lorene Hampton of Moore's Hill, Indiana.  She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

          Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Hibbard will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 12:00 noon with Rev. Jason Smith and Rev. Charles Henson officiating. Pallbearers will be Grandsons, family & friends. Honorary pallbearers will be all members of the Trosper Church of God. She will be laid to rest in the Hampton Cemetery at Girdler, KY. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 noon.
