Kathy Gail (Brown) Smith

Mrs. Kathy Gail Smith, age 61, of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, January 10, 2020 at her daughter’s home with her family around her.  She was the daughter of the late Eli and Gladys (Davis) Brown, born to them on May 2, 1958 in Pineville, Kentucky.  Kathy was a homemaker, a member of Cornerstone Church of God and loved her dogs, Ozzy and Buggy..

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Eli and Gladys (Davis) Brown, and her husband, Jackie Ray Smith Sr, a son, Little David Deaton, a brother Mickey Brown, and sisters, Joan Lowe and Janet Brown.

Left behind to mourn his passing are her son, Jackie Smith, Jr. of Barbourville, daughters, Tiffany Boles and husband Robert of Pineville, and Jerrica Brown and fiancé Cody Smith of Williamsburg, sisters, very special, Lovonne Bright and husband Ray of Barbourville and Marlene Brummett of Norton, VA, a brother Jerry Brown and his wife Brenda of Barbourville and seven grandchildren, Preshus Lawson, Kendra Armstrong, Timothy Henson, Jackson Smith, Ethan Smith, Mya Smith Brown and Maddie Smith Brown.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be conducted on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. She will be laid to rest in the Gray-Sizemore Cemetery at Bimble. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements. 

Friends will be received the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
