Joyce Faye (Mills) Gambrel

Mrs. Joyce Faye Gambrel age 60 of Woolum, KY departed this life on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in the Baptist Hospital in Corbin. She was the widow of James Gambrel and the daughter of Roxie (Smith) Mills and the late Cleveland Mills born to them on August 18, 1957. She was a member of the Horn Branch Baptist Church and was retired from the US Post Office.

She is preceded in death by her husband James Gambrel and her father Cleveland Mills.

Left behind to mourn her passing, her mother Roxie Mills of Woolum, a sister, Bonnie Swafford and husband David of Woolum, three brothers, Randy Mills and wife Birdinia of Heidrick and Mickey Mills and Frankie Mills both of Woolum, her nieces and nephews, Randall I. Mills, Brandon K. Mills, Brianna Miller, Jynece Bates, Sharon R. Patterson, Melissa Mitchell, Ashley Swafford, Cleveland Mills and Holly Hubbard. She also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gambrel will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mickey Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be, Randall Mills, Brandon Mills, Cleveland Mills, Steve Mitchell, Otis Smith, Cody Poole, Michael Asher, Chris Swafford, Chase Miller. She will be laid to rest in the Nan Riley Cemetery at Woolum. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
