Joey Delynn Harris

         Mr. Joey Delynn Harris, age 48 of Lily, KY departed this life on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at his home. He was the son of Joel C. Harris and Linda (Mills) Harris born to them on April 7, 1969 in Corbin, KY. He was an employee of SEKRI where he was purchasing and materials manager. Previously he had worked in construction and also American Greeting Corporation before their closing.  He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and attended Slate Ridge Bible Church. He was also a veteran of the Army National Guard having served for six years. Joey was an avid sports fan, he loved all animals and especially loved spending time with his children. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mollie and Ples Mills and Virgina and Clifford Harris, a cousin Randy Asher and an uncle, Charles Mills.

          Left behind to mourn his passing, his father, Joel C. Harris of Cannon, KY, his mother, Linda Harris Smith and husband Larry of London, KY, his former wife Mendy Mills Trosper  and their son together, Joseph Landon Harris of London and another son Mic Austin Moore of Barbourville, and his former wife Molly Harris with whom he had one daughter, Josey Danielle Harris of Lily, one brother, Rodney Harris of London, two sisters, Misty Carmack and husband Allen of Bimble and Kristi Hampton and husband Sean of Bardstown, KY. He also leaves behind a host of many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

          Funeral services for Mr. Joey Harris will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Chesnut and Rev. Allen Mills officiating. Pallbearers will be, Braydon Hubbard, Nathan Carmack, Allen Carmack, Rodney Smith, Tyler Vaughn, Landon Harris, Rodney Harris, Mic Moore and Josh Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be, Logan Carmack, Jordan Hampton, Greg Fisher, Matthew Cox, Scott Payne, Sean Hampton, Jamie Phipps, Jason Alsip and Brent Bingham. He will be laid to rest in the Old Salem Cemetery in London, Kentucky. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 noon until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
