Jacqueline Brown Obituary

Mrs. Jacqueline Collins Brown, age 73, departed this life on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at her home in Dewitt, Kentucky.  She was the daughter of Bill and Ethel Collins, born to them on January 7, 1946 in Knox County, Kentucky.  She united in marriage with Dewey Brown, Jr. on January 31, 1961 and to this union eight children were born.

Jacqueline was a member of the Faith House of Prayer Holiness Church, was a homemaker, and loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved to cook, garden, crochet and being a seamstress.  Her eyes and smile could light up a room.  Just her presence could make anyone smile.  To know her was to love her and everyone that knew her did.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ethel Collins, one brother Curtis Collins, two sisters, Mary Burnett and Billie Jean Collin, two sons and six grandchildren.

Left behind to mourn her passing, her husband of 58 years Dewey Brown, Jr., her loving children, daughters Connie Spangler and husband Thomas of Lufkin, Texas, Ethel Smith and husband Hank of Middlefork, Kentucky, Patricia Brown and Alvie of Dewitt, Kentucky, and Myrtle Mills of Barbourville, Kentucky, sons Denver Lee Brown and Mary of Dewitt, Kentucky, Dewey Brown, III and wife Barbara of Dewitt, Kentucky, nineteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, brother Bill Collins and wife Kathy of Barbourville, Kentucky, sisters Delia Lock and husband Danny of London, Kentucky, June Price and husband Cecil of Bryants Store, Kentucky.  She also leaves behind a host of many relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Chelsey Philpot, APRN, Dr. Pedersen, Dr. Krishna, Dr. Morris, Dr. Heath, Chaplain Jeanie Lawson, Angela Curtis, Richard Stubblefield and Patty Smith.
