Jackie Carl Pennington

Mr. Jackie Carl Pennington age 69 of Heidrick, KY departed this life on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his home. He was the husband of Jeannetta Pennington and the son of John & Nell (Robertson) Pennington. He was born in Perry Co., KY on November 2, 1947.  After serving his  his country in the United States Army, he worked for forty years as a diesel mechanic at Wayne Supply.  He was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed horses and hunting but especially loved being with his family.

          He is preceded in death by his parents, John & Nell Pennington and a son in law, Wendell Wagers.

          Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife Jeannetta Pennington, his children, Cheryl Wagers of Heidrick, KY and Chris Pennington of Chattanooga, TN and his grandson, Richard Adam Wagers, a half-brother, Doug Pennington and wife Roberta of Hazard and a half sister, Mary Ann Pennington also of Hazard. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Jackie Pennington will be conducted in the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. H.C. Robertson officiating. Pallbearers will be Doyle Yeager, Don Barnes, Chris Pennington,  Richard Wagers, Jerry Clifton Yeager and Alford Yeager. He will be laid to rest in the Trace Branch Cemetery at Heidrick. Cobb Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
