Henry Clyde Rice, Jr.

Mr. Henry Clyde Rice, Jr. age 72 of Rockholds, KY departed this life on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at his home. He was born on September 10, 1945 in Knox Co. the son of Henry Clyde Rice, Sr. and Helen Jean (Partin) Rice. Before retiring, Henry had worked in Cincinnati at Foster’s. He enjoyed fishing and watching football and basketball.

          He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Felica Ann Rice and two brothers, Albert Kenneth Rice and Ronnie Rice.

          He leaves behind to mourn his passing, one daughter, Amy Denise Tucker of Plant City, Florida, two sons, Henry Clyde Rice, III and Daniel Dean Rice,  a step daughter, Loveda Newbaur of St. Pete, Florida, and two step-sons, Tim Watkins and Tony,  five brothers, Jimmy Ray Rice and wife Betty Sue of Alabama, Johnny Lee Rice and wife Myra, Troy Dean Rice, Boyd Steven Rice and Gary Wayne Rice and wife Charlene, all of Barbourville, four sisters, Carolyn Laing, Judy Gibson and husband Paul, Mary Garland and husband Daniel and Katherine Myers and husband Randall all of Barbourville, He also leaves behind many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews along with other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

          Funeral services for Mr. Henry Clyde Rice, Jr. will be conducted on Sunday, October 8, 2017 in the Cobb Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers will be family & friends. He will be laid to rest in the Rice Cemetery in Barbourville. Cobb Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
