Florence Rice Obituary
Mrs. Florence Rice, age 58, of Barbourville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. She was the wife of Rex Rice and the daughter of the late Lee Rose Buchanan and Mary Jane Buchanan, born to them on April 14, 1960 in Barbourville, Kentucky. She was a member of the Baptist faith, loved working in her flower garden and was a homemaker.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Mary Jane Buchanan, her son Thomas Lee Ray Baker, infant sister Stella Mae Buchanan, brothers Charles Lee Buchanan, Jimmy Edward Buchanan, Billy Ray Buchanan and James Russell Buchanan.
Left behind to mourn her passing loving husband Rex Rice, son Michael Hayes Buchanan, sisters Betsy Tuttle, Ima Fay Hill and husband Sidney, and Virginia Robinson and husband Howard, all of Corbin, Kentucky, and sister-in-law Charlene Puckett Buchanan. She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Florence Rice will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home, with Reverend Brandon Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Buchanan Cemetery at Rockholds, Kentucky. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Monday, November 12th from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
