Dora Lee Lester

            Mrs. Dora Lee Lester age 75 of Fourmile, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, September 9, 2018 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky. She was the widow of William Pierce Lester and the daughter of Jim Smith and Bertha Wallace born to them on November 11, 1942 in Knox County. She was a member of the Union Mission Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She loved to attend church and enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren.

         She is preceded in death by her husband, William Pierce Lester, her parents, Jim Smith and Bertha Wallace and a brother Herbert Joe Smith.

         Left behind to mourn her passing, her son William Lester of Moore’s Creek and her daughter Melissa Abner and husband Steve of Barbourville, four grandchildren, Jennifer Lawson and husband Jessie, Michelle Hammons and husband Matthew, Kobe Abner and Kaleb Abner, her four great grandchildren, Madison Edwards, Logan Edwards, Ethan William Lawson and Gaven Joseph Lawson all of Barbourville, a brother, Bobby Wallace of Dewitt, a special niece, Stephanie Wallace along with a host of other nieces, nephews, family & friends.

         Funeral services for Mrs. Dora Lester will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. A.Y. Mills and Rev. Derrick Mills officiating. Pallbearers will be, Kobe Abner, Kaleb Abner, James Baker, Landon Wallace, Ron Helton, Rodney Warren and Jessie Lawson. She will be laid to rest in the Farley Cemetery. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

          The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
