Denver Simpson

Denver Simpson, age 74, departed this life on April 21, 2019 at his home in Barbourville, Kentucky.  He was the son of Virgil and Ada (Jackson) Simpson, born to them on February 10, 1945 in Artemus, Kentucky. Denver was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by parents Virgil and Ada Simpson, and brothers Kenneth Simpson, Bobby Simpson and Charles Simpson.

Left behind to mourn his passing are his brother Wayne Simpson and wife Tanya of Artemus, Kentucky, sisters Rita Poindexter of Artemus, Kentucky, Bonnie Collett and husband Floyd of Artemus, Kentucky, Brenda Richardson of Indiana, Betty June Taylor of Louisville, Kentucky, Charlotte Swartz and husband Stan of Tennessee, and Delena Mills and husband Bill of Girdler, Kentucky.  He is also survived by many relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Denver Simpson will be held in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Glenn Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery.  Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
