Ralph Santiago Tarango

      Mr. Ralph Santiago Tarango, age 72 of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. He was the widow of Melva Ann (Brock) Tarango and the son of Juan and Mary Padilla. He was born on August 9, 1951 in Vallejo County, California.

       Ralph had been a truck driver and believed in the Christian faith. He loved listening to rock and gospel music; he loved spending time with his family and cooking for them on the grill. His favorite past time was fishing.

      He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Mary Padilla and two children, Roxanne Witt and Lucy Brock and a best friend, John Brock.

      Left behind to mourn his passing, seven children, Dana Tarango, Jacob Tarango, Joshua Tarango and wife Kasandra, Terry Witt and wife Marie, Tony Brock and wife Tosha, Lisa Partin and husband Dustin and James Gambrel and wife Redosha, seven siblings, Joe V. Tarango and wife Pauline, Linda G. Tarango, Yolanda Flores and husband Rick, Arleen Padilla, Johnny Padilla and wife Maria, Elena Padilla and Lisa Wickliff and husband Sean, and his best friend Jimmy Waites, eighteen grandchildren, Trinity, Cerena, Mykah, Isabella, Madelynn, Charlotte, Payton, Devin, Eli, Xavier, Ian, Shade, Hayden, Rocco, Dixie, Finn, Melvin and Lauren.  He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

      Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Mills officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Gross Cemetery in Gray. Pallbearers will be, Joe Tarango, Josh Tarango, Dana Tarango, James Gambrel, Terry Witt and Payton Gambrel. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

      Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, April 6th from 12:00 noon until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
