Louise (Mills) Jones

      Mrs. Louise Jones, 77 of Whitesburg, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Highlands Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Louise was the widow of Charles Lee Jones and the daughter of the late Henry and Evelyn Moore Mills born to them on February 22, 1947.  

      Surviving are two sons: Eddie (Trisha) Jones of Whitesburg and Roger (Missy) Jones of Independence, Kentucky; one sister: Sharlette Hensley of London, Kentucky; three grandchildren: Sierra, Zach (Lakyn), and McKenzie along with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Louise was preceded in death by  one son: Larry Wayne Jones; two brothers: Lester Mills and Earnest Mills; five sisters: Carol Mills, Phylis Jones, Wilma Calebs, Brenda Evans, and Juanita Mason.

      Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the Hampton Funeral Home in Barbourville, Kentucky with Rev. Jabo Miles and Rev. Conard Profitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Mills Family Cemetery at Hinkle. 

Friends will be received at the Hampton Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m. 

      Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the Calvary Temple Church  in Whitesburg from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
